Quick Tips
Our classroom is a busy place as we help each student reach their individual goals. Because we are working hard, it is important for families to keep in mind that we all build on small successes. Maintaining your child's self-esteem and building a foundation for future growth will always remain a priority in our classroom. Here are some ways you can help:
Check your child’s homework daily and review your Friday note each week. Help your child study for weekly tests.
Get caught reading! Read with your child, ask your child what they are reading, or turn off the TV and make it a family reading night. The more your child is exposed to language through reading, the easier it will be for him/her to incorporate new skills in reading and writing in the classroom.
Your child will progress at his/her own rate as he/she is developmentally ready. Celebrate your child's success, no matter how small it may seem. This will keep your child enthusiastic about learning and proud of their work!
